Hey they! Your girl is newly-ish 24 and definitely feeling blessed to be alive, thriving and eating more great food! I celebrated my birthday by grabbing brunch at Steadfast in the Grey Hotel with some of my amazing friends. I first heard of Steadfast at the First Bites Bash back in January. FBB is the kick off to the Chicago Restaurant Week festivities, and as I stopped by their booth I tried an great merengue a-mouse bouchée! It was then then I thought I’d like to celebrate my turn around the sun at their restaurant.
So what did we eat?? The meal was kicked off with a round of mimosas before the ordering began. The ambiance of the space was open, classy and calm. With a great view into the kitchen. I ordered the Steadfast Breakfast with 2 eggs (omelette style), bacon, toast and breakfast potatoes. As my "sides" I got the Cinnamon French Toast with blueberries and puppychow as well as the Buttermilk Biscuit and Gravy. Everything was delicious!! A very traditional brunch fare, but it hit the spot with each and every bite.
At the table there were also a few different orders that I found to be delicious as well. Recommendations for your visit include: Kind-of-Fancy Cheeseburger and the Avocado Toast.
